Our Pastor

In 2011, Pastor Bill felt God's call to come to Mesquite, and serve Jesus among the gifted retired folks of the Virgin Valley.Since then he has been impressed at the wonderful movement of the Spirit in this area. God is doing something special in the communities of this area and he is eager to be a part of it.

Bill hails from the east. Born in Michigan, he grew up in a large family. After high school, he  enlisted in the US Navy. He learned electronics and sailed several of the seven seas. Along the way, Bill became a christian, and felt a call into ministry.

Nancy and Bill met at college in South Carolina.  Both received degrees in Bible and Christian Education. Ministry has always been their shared passion.They served churches in Boston, Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina. They have two grown sons.

Bill received his Masters of Divinity degree from  Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston. He later received his Doctor of Ministry degree at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond. Bill loves learning and is a lifetime student of scripture.

Currently, God has laid on Bill's heart the seniors of the Virgin Valley. So many have not found God in any local church. We have come to a place where we have our physical needs met, but we are starving for the kind of faith that lets us begin living our eternal life now. Bill's vision is that Valley Church become the place where seniors can meet soul mates, find a deep, sustaining faith, and make a difference in someone's life. This is the stuff of life!
